I never felt the larger part described in the text was correct, had figured it to be some kind of cut and paste mistake. You guys earlier drawings seem to call out an item that should be about what I was expecting. If it's wrong, I'll just learn to sail backwards. Thanks for all the help! Great forum! BP

Makes it more understandable if Graham's away teaching. I'd written a couple of months ago regarding similar discrepancies in the mast mat'l call outs, never got an answer that time either. Took my best guess. He's probably hustling to make a living like all the rest of us... Check out Michael Storer's plans sometime. They were the last ones I built to, I got spoiled. Crisp drawings, detailed and accurate. Anyway, thanks for your info, Ray. I just couldn't believe those rudder dimensions. Must have been pasted from one of the larger boats. BP

Hope someone can help that's built a Spindrift 10N. On the rudder plan sheeet, the drawing shows 2-inch squares to lay out the profile, needing a blank about 10 x 24. But, in the text, it says 3-inch squares laid out on a 15 x 30 inch blank. It also says to glue the rudder up from 2 plys of 3/8-inch ply, but on the cut sheet it shows it on the 1/4, mat'ls list doesn't call for 3/8. My gut is just telling me that the 3-inch squares and 3/8 material is going to be awfully big.... Input welcomed. I wrote Graham, never heard back. I'm confident it's going to be a great boat, but my high school drafting teacher would have failed me over these plans.... Bill
