Thank's Graham' I definitely plan on building a boat. I have been raised in South La. and worked in the Gulf extensfuly so I'm used to the Gulf waters. Having never sailed I read a lot whitch led me too believe that the plans I have would not be feasible. A slightly larger boat would be O K. I have built flat river boats before out of cypress side and plywood bottoms so the added weight wouldn't be a problem. I just liked the looks of the core boats. Stability and ease of sailing would be of the utmost importance. Like I said I will be on my own building and learning to sail. What boat could you recomend where the first requirment is stable, and 2 would be rigging 3 is ease of sailing. I'm not tring to put you on a spot but after I srarted reading everthing I could get I realized I need to change P.S. I won't be crossing the Gulf !! I hope

Hi I have the plans for a 10 footer off another site,the (boatplans on line) then I stumbled across this site and and I'm really impressed. My question is about the effort expended to sail a small boat, plus the stability off one. I would like to get the plan's for the smallest core boat. I am 63 yrs old and in poor health plus I would be building and trying to sail singlehanded so stabalitywill be a very important issue. I have the plans for the v10 dingy but after reading I don't believe it will be stable enough. Add to that I will be learning to sail, I may have a problem. Please excuse the long post All advice would be highly app.
