  1. I would fear having to roll one. It would require a lot of training and discipline to think and work in concert when the worst is happening. I'm careful when my wife and I cycle. My mind tells me to do it one way and her's the other. I have hit her bike and crashed to avoid hitting her. However an open cockpit like Chuckanut 15 might be much better. One is intimately close to ones partner and more aware, perhaps. If it capsizes everyone falls out and stands up.
  2. Nice boat, I'm glad to see your success bending softwood. I have a goal of making a traditional construction kayak using all softwood. But traditional boat building wisdom is softwood can't be bent. In fact no one would bend anything but white oak or so it seems. Have you had any issues with durability of the cedar?
