  1. I emailed B & B directly and got a reply from Carla. She sent a full parts list so that I could price out the supplies locally. I thought others would find it useful. This is for the Spindrift 10N S10N-material-2.doc
  2. Thanks. I've had a few people tell me that I will miss the inflatable because the stability getting on and off the boat will be horrible. I appreciate the feedback
  3. Just wanted to jump in to let you know that this is awesome. If you saw my other posts I am thinking about undertaking this project and have very little experience so all this info is great. -Peter
  4. (I have a few questions so I'm posting them as separate topics to make things easier to follow) I am trying to figure out what the costs would be to build a spindrift 9N or 10N. Anyone have info on this? Amount of Wood needed? Hardware? Any info on prices or just amounts of wood and hardware need would be great. I can price things locally if necessary. Thanks Peter
  5. (I have a few questions so I'm posting them as separate topics to make things easier to follow) If you have read my previous posts you know I have been thinking about building a dinghy but another option would be to simply buy one. I'm curious if there is anyone out there that has a spindrift nesting dinghy for sale (preferably the 9n or 10n). Thanks Peter
  6. (I have a few questions so I'm posting them as separate topics to make things easier to follow) I have been thinking about building a nesting dinghy to replace my current inflatable and have some questions/concerns. 1. I live in a condo and don't have a place to actually build it. I'd love to find someone else that wants to build a boat and has a location to do it. I figure it will be easier/faster with two people and building two dinghies isn't much harder than building one. I'm in the Boston area but will travel a reasonable distance. 2. I have no experience with this type of work so I"d love to find someone to help me do this without making any major mistakes. 3. I'd love any other ideas on where I can do this project. If you know of a boat building school that offers a class to build a spindrift that would be awesome! Thanks Peter
  7. I'm thinking about building a nesting dinghy and the spndrift 9n (or 10n) look like a great options. The main purpose would be to use this boat as a tender to my larger sailboat and I am concerned about its stability. I have an inflatable now which makes it pretty easy to board from a dinghy while on a mooring, what's the spindrift like? I'd love some advice/thoughts on this. -Peter
