jeff just finishing pics of my builds.in your video you say your partial to polyester .but it needs to be we to shrink.will oil base paint as its put on shrink the material?or do you hose it own/

well after getting my stonefly lashed im now alost done lashing my fire fly. but i just cant figure out where frame 8.3 fits in.it is small spare rib shaped with a gunwale top.can you direct me to what im not seeing jeff? i know its right in front of me but it aint registerin!

well frames are cut out and sanded and board are planed to size for my stonefly. my question since there are know frame brackets do you juse a 2by foor for a strongback? every thing keeps faaling over!!!!!!!!!

jeff. i just lofted the stonefly frames from your fuselagebook igot from you. and all is explained verry easy and ive done the first four in a row starting with the 2 ft frame then 4ft and so on. my question is how many frames have to be slotted for the floor boards? thanks

as i get ready to continue my fire fly. i cant help but to be thinking about a qiot day of fishing from this classy looking one man canoe.so i was wondering jeff do you recomend a kayak paddle or a single canoe paddle? thanks jay

well here are the frames and extra pieces. i made from duraplex or some call mdo .sands nice and cuts real easy with a metal cutting blade.after cutting out evry piece i can say my jigsaw got a workout along with my wrist! these fire fly print are awsome!

got em planed down.thanks.found a supplier of all the cedar you can dream of its west penn hardwoods .com i went to visit and its like a walmart for woodworkers huge!

jeff i got all the parts cut out.i just got red cedar boards16 ft long no knots!. the boardsare 1x6x16 by 3/4 thick. can i leave them 3/4 with planing them down.if so is 3/4 x5/8 ok jay.

well i just went to lmberyard and there was a sighn maker buying duraplex its the new version of mdo plywood. 54 buck a sheet but i got it and will post some pics when i cut out the frames.

got her all planned out tonight im going to ty mdo for frames. i have a sighn made from it 13 years old like new and we get harsh weaher here in the snow belt.so jeff is my mind right are the frames numbered to work from stern?

just got my prints in the mail and looks like this is going to be fun.dont know why but after staring at print i decided to work from the stern end.thanksjeff for the sale im exited to get started

i actually have stonefly set as my screen saver. that white skin and red cedar just looks like a million dollar piece of artwork! i wish when i build my firefly i could use a red cedar somewhere to be seen. it would be cool to have a 4x8 sheet of it !!

thanks ill just make a 16 strongback today before work.after looking through the new book i see that the bow i think on curlew orvardo is assembled in a couple sections that was what i was woundering about firefly.its so blended i thought was all a onepiece section that is by far the coolest looking vessle .cant wait to build it just getting ready to order my kit.ill have to find out the shipping later on thanks

well i think ill build a strongback while waiting for you to get plywood in.any certain length you recomend for a firefly?i have some 14 ft boards.
