Looking very good Derek! I cut my cabin roof and put on my front hull-side panels today, also made a good contact, someone in my neighborhood who is also building a boat, but using traditional construction. Do you still hope to finish it in time for that show?

Well Derek,

With just a little more effort you should be able to recess a cove in those ceiling panels. Maybe add a nice dentil strip along with the colonial cove. I have some crystal lights that would look great hanging in those beautiful panels too.

Maybe some nice draperies for each of those windows and you'll be all set. Jake can have his fine coffee table and you can have a ballroom. :roll:

If you haven't glued/screwed it in place permanently yet, you might consider marking off the rafters on the panels with a pencil and finish the top inside before you attach it. Get as much of it done as you can and then you will only have to mask off the britework for a finish coat after you screw it down. So much easier to do as much as possible before you have to lie on your back to do things.

Oh yes, it is also easier to mask off the rafters before you attach the top.

Barry, I did just that. I marked off the rafters, and first coat of epoxy is on the bottom side as they are on sawhorses. Once done with all epoxy, I will tape off contact areas and paint while its still flat and easy to get to. That I learned from you wise ones that have gone before me (bowing down humbly and chanting "I'm not worthy")

Tyler, thanks, but the boat show was just a poke. Show's next weekend, although Barry's idea was great of taking it 'as is', but I can't get it there. Maybe I'll put her in the show next year. Right now I am still hoping for a summer launching. BTW, get your 'puter fixed? Waiting to see new pics.

I've got a nice Elvis on black Velvet that might just fit! Also some spanish dancers on red velvet left over from my single days. Oh goodness...shouldn't say that, I'm still that way, again. :oops:

OH yes, a couple boxes of parquet flooring that would look nice. Inlay a nice designer border around the sides? :wink:

Well don't I feel stupid! The computer is not fixed, thanks for reminding me, I need to email the motherboard maker. I can get pictures from this computer although it is significantly more difficult, I will do that now, maybe post in an hour. At least I put an old laptop in my room so I know have something else to help my alarm clock and light on a timer wake me up (I had the computer play music every morning). Are you going to do anything to the forward bulkhead? That roof looks like it fits just perfect. I thought I was getting very good at percision until I saw just how bad my side panel front angle really was, after it was glued and screwed.

Are you going to do anything to the forward bulkhead?

If you are referring to a finish Tyler, all the interior, except for bright work will be painted with Porch & Deck latex (white). Once the roof is on for final, all the exterior edges will be routed with a roundover bit.

Will probably begin fitting hull sides tomorrow.
