Seats for weekender

Okay, I'm doing slat open seats as opposed to the box seats shown on the plans. Anyone here done something similar?

Chad, I've got slatted seats. Here's a shot.

If you do as you've drawn, I'm afraid you'll find either you haven't enough bum support or you can't get your feet in between the seats. As you can see, my seats go to the cockpit sides. Actually, I put a layer of 1" foam along the cockpit sides and then a piece of 3/8" luaun plywood over that to make it look a bit nicer. You can kind of see that in this picture.

Dave. the back of the seat will still be in the same place as was designed. I will also be adding a center support beneth the seats to provide support.
