Gordy Hill
I used pop-up cleats on my CS17 and loved them!
ricknriver
Thanks for the info Gordy. Very nice units. Has anyone tried the Quick Cleats http://www.quick-cleat.com/products/also seem to be low profile and resistant to snagging sheets? But wonder if they hold as good as the pop-ups at steep line angles? Rick
PAR
I see these cleats on powerboats frequently enough, but never on a sailboat. The straight horns also have me concerned about high angled leads from sheets or other lines, though used on dock lines they seem strong enough with a horizontal or nearly so load. Their construction looks beefy, but compared to a solid horn cleat, I'll bet there's a huge difference.
