Chick Ludwig
I've often wondered what happened to Joe Richards and his Friendship sloop Princess. Here is an article by his daughter about them. http://www.joerichardsprincess.com/afterward.htm Joe wrote one other book. It was Tug of War about his experiences as a tug boat captain during WWII. It is available through Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0679513515/ref=tmm_hrd_used_olp_sr?ie=UTF8&condition=used&sr=&qid=

Charlie Jones
"Princess, New York" has been on my bookshelf for many many years . My copy has a publishing date of 1973 and has thew additional book "Key Biscayne" in it, but my first copy was just the "Princess" story and was from 1956. It was loaned to someone and never made it home, ,so I got the later edition. IT is NOT for loan. That's the book that got me interested in cruising these many years ago
Chick Ludwig
Yes, my book has the combined books. Mine is not for loan either. It was a special gift from my wife on my first father's day. i had read Princess when it came out in Sail (I think) magazine originally and loved it. It is my favorite book of all time.
