Lotus
In fact at high speed the reading fluctuates as there will be lots of turbulence , but what's the use of scanning the bottom at high speeds !? The reason I put the transducer there is because at that point it will offer the minimum resistance to the water at speeds
tturtleboy
Thanks Lotus, I was just curious. The huge lakes I cruise in have lots of rocks and sunken Islands and its nice to have a reasonable idea of the depth for orientation, realizing of course that depth can change instantly when at speed and that eyes and local knowledge are most important. Also helps in looking for structure for fishing areas when cruising. Thanks again for letting us in on your talents. Jay Lancaster
A little extra bracing on the front, and certainly along the rear of that top will go a long way towards it's durability.
Lotus
Thanks Jay Lancaster, realy appreciate. Did you refear to some brackets that reinforce the up rights to the top ?. Is it better in this photo ?

makenmend
Well done on slimeing your boat, and good eating to. All I ever caught were Lampuki (think that's what they call them) kind of like mullet, from Sliema Creek off the minesweepers there in early 60's. Great boat for that area.
