Chick Ludwig
Help. I tried to post pictures on the B and B site just like I always used to do---same camera too. It says "file to big" to upload. That's for one picture. i don't understand about pixels and all that---it's about all that I can do to turn the computer on! I tried to use the "advanced uploader". (requires Flash 9) What's that???
PAR
The "advanced uploader" is a more optioned file handler. Flash is a multimedia and software platform used for creating vector graphics, animations, etc. Download "IrfanView" (www.irfanview.com). This is a "viewer" with a lot of tools. You can resize (and all sorts of other stuff) images easily. The download is free. Windows supplies a viewer, but I haven't used it in years. Chick Ludwig
Well, I've installed it, but don't know how/what to change the settings.
Frank Hagan
I'll take a look at the settings again ... after our server reinstall, some of the forum settings were off. I won't be able to look at it until tonight when I get home from work.
Chick Ludwig
Thanks.I've had a friend that knows a lot more than I do look at it, but she can't figure it out either. I can download on e-mails and Facebook ok.
Frank Hagan
Looks like the reinstall reset the maximum PHP file upload limit to 2 MB; I've increased that to 20 MB to allow for the 16MB per post I allow. Let's see if that helps!
Chick Ludwig
That didn't, but I set my camera to the minimum, "VGA", 640 x 480. Now it works.
Frank Hagan
I found another memory setting for PHP, which runs the image resizing function "GD", and I upped it. I have successfully uploaded images over 2.4M, so we should be good to go for any but the largest images.
