DianeInHouston
Stevenson Weekender, LOA 19 ft. Built in Vermont in 1987 (as per last owner). It's been dry sailed (generally) and stored indoors. Great condition - there are a few spots that show some stress, but no delamination. Recent paint and varnish. Bottom paint in excellent condition. "Yacht" wheel has had the ends of the spokes trimmed back to prevent knuckle busting against the cockpit seats. The boat was built exactly to "spec", as per the weekender plans (refer to discussions in this forum or the Stevenson website for more details). The one exception is the mast mounts directly to the deck, there is no hinged mechanism for raising. Comes with: Hood main sail and jib (tanbark), and all running rigging Varnished pine mast, boom, and gaff, deadeyes on standing rigging New/recent block and tackle Nissan 3.5 HP engine (not pretty but works like a champ!) Customized Sprint trailer, bearings greased and re-packed about 9 months ago, lighting harness fully functional Boat is currently in dry storage on Lake Livingston, Livingston Texas. It is a perfect boat for inland waters, reservoirs, or other protected areas. It's ready to be taken to a ramp and sailed! With moderate coordination and organization, two people can have the boat ready for sailing in about 20 minutes. However, this is not a boat for a novice sailor, since it is a gaff rig vessel. I'm selling to move into something a little larger, that doesn't require so much athleticism. Direct sales only, no brokers.
