Woo Hoo!  Test sail tomorrow.  Lot's of little things to do prior to any serious offshore work, but good enough for the local lakes a and bays.

Setting up the trailer (it was under the fishing skiff) took most of the day.  Test sail tomorrow.  The fit is good.

Some photos and videos of the launch.  Not much wind (zephyr type and shifting).  https://www.flickr.com/photos/41024536@N02/sets/72157655720562508

Mizzen sheet fouls the motor shaft when it is tilted up and going downwind on starboard tack.  Next issue to solve.

Rigging took 30 minutes the first time.  Mostly due to my not noticing the main halyard was fouled prior to attaching the sail, and had to redo.  Could have done it in 20 minutes and perhaps 15 with practice and a better tie down system.

Sail report - Buzzard's Bay, take 2.

wind was out of the SSW at 12-15kts and we had a small chop going our of Wareham.  You really don't notice how the boat is scooting along until you sail alongside other craft.

In the 2' chop my pesky crew (daughter) found the crew position to be wet.  Thoughts of a spray hood are now underway for more extensive voyaging.  We beat out of the channel doing 100 degrees in the chop.  I could tack at 90 degrees, but go noticeably slower.

The coolest thing is raising the blades and going over the sand bars, taking short cuts i would avoid in a keel boat.  Lunch on the sandbar and then back to the ramp.  ramp time is 20 minutes to rig / unrig.  We are getting faster with practice.  Putting it on the trailer is a snap.
