Russ Tinsley
coolers will drain ouy the transom, was thinking about bench seat into the transom & using a engine bracket but scraped that idea also have a insulated fishbox / cooler in floor
FL Boater
Really nice, very "factory" look about the transom. I'm checking these (Ocracokes) out with the intention to build. I like your baitwell set-up, clean. Very nice job. Almost forgot...this is the 20....right?

Fishman38
Beautiful work Rusty!! I am "considering" building this boat. "Considering" because among other things I'm getting a little long in the tooth to take on such a project. Would you hazard a guess as to the number of man hours you've invested in your build? Russ Tinsley
No Clue, But good guess, average 1 hour per day for year & half, would be close
Fishman38
Thanks! Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like you're maybe 2/3 done, with the console and other interior issues? Which would make it 3 or 4 months of 8 hour days total? Even though I'm retired would probably take me more like a year or so. 4 or 5 hours a day of real work is a pretty good day for me. It's a gorgeous boat and looks to be well worth the effort and expense. It's those hours and hours of sanding that that scare me. The rest I think will be fun. Thanks again for your input. Miyot
Looking really good. Is the color Fighting Lady Yellow? That is the color I have chosen as well. Looks like you have a nice gloss.
Hirilonde
Is the color Fighting Lady Yellow? I have always wanted the job naming paints for some paint company Kidding aside, it does look great.

Fishman38
Rusty, is your transom built according to the plans, i.e. did you add any doublers etc? From the pics it looks like where the motor mounts (motor board?) it is according to plan, about 1 1/2" thick. What size motor do you plan to use? Do you expect to do much trailering? For my build, my concern is mainly the load on the transom while trailering as where I live requires lots of highway miles to get the boat in the water. Info on transom specs vs engine/boat size is hard to find.
Russ Tinsley
it is doubled up down deep in hull 1 1/2 at top, I will tow alot with a motor toter to hold bouncing weight, engine is 175 Johnson, will test run maybe in 2 weeks
