jmhardy
Can someone explain why a sailplan similar to the ones on the Core Sound boats isn't used on the Spindrift? I just picked up plans and a CD from Graham Tuesday evening and look forward to building and learning to sail. Tom Lathrop
Spindrift is a small boat and there is no room for a cat ketch rig. There is room alright, but not for a rig that is more than a cute novelty. The masts get in the way on all boats and more so on a small one. The sails would be kind of dainty too. Wouldn't that be "dinky?" (pun intended!) That would be an interesting sight to see a Spindrift with a cat ketch rig. I cannot imagine trying to move around in that rig. Peter HK
Compared to this a cat ketch spindrift wouldn't be a challenge  Cheers Peter HK
