Konrad
Anyone who's got any concerns over global warming is more than welcome to come to my house and clear the snow. 30 mph winds, single digit temps, and 12 inches of snow. What's not to like about it...?!? :?
lewisboats
Ja...me too . No pics but about the same...40-55 mph winds , plenty of drifting, colder than...pick a euphemism. Got to go drift bustin' and doughnuttin' in the pickup though and looks like it will stick around for Xmas...just so long as it disappears by mid Jan (yeah...right!). PAR
I'm heading up to the Chesapeake to visit family and friends this weekend. I'm leaving high 70's and heading into the abyss of frigid and house bound souls. The things we'll do for friend's and family I'll tell 'ya . . . So what do I do, wear my long John's on the plane in anticipation of arrival in the land of cold, sweating my butt off in route or do I change in the bathroom on the plane before landing? I don't even own a winter coat any more, I'm currently wearing a tee shirt and painting some cabinet doors in the driveway.
Craig
For many years I have had the rule that I don't travel north of I-10 from 15 Oct until after 15 May. That worked very well. Now, living about 15 miles N of I-10, it rains like all holy hell for half the night and blows dirt the rest(if and when it ever rains). The truck looks like it rained mud!!! Still better than snow. Sorry guys; though dual qualified, my red neck genes are overpowering those of the hill billy bent so I'll stay south (see rule one above) if at all possible.
Bruce Kershaw
I-10 ? I draw the line at the Caloosahatchee River! 8-)
lewisboats
It's the Misery (Missouri) for me, although at one point in time it was the St. Lawrence, then the Sacramento, The Arkansas and then the Potomac...and of course... Rapid Creek
capt jake
It finally broke 32 degree today and my frozen pipes thawed out. Colder than......well you know. we had the high winds earlier in the week when the front first came across the border. Snow in California has begun taking a toll on the Mandirin Orange crop already. Mom has snow outside of Sacramento. Konrad, you pictures remind me of my childhood in Colorado! Weather here is reminding me also!
Bruce Kershaw
Mid 80s, low in the 70s.
John Turpin
I'd decided to take a break from building when it got too cold. But, I just can't do it. A new 10,000 BTU portable heater just arrived and goes in the workshop tomorrow. l need heat.
Craig
Thirty eight degrees this morning. Obviously nearing breach of contract! I would rather have my ass whipped than be cold!
ChrisObee
15 degrees, 50 mph gusts. Its finally winter in Ohio.
Palolo Hawaii
Dropped down into the low 60s last night, so winter has finally arrived here for us too. Sometime every January, as we're sailing along off the beach, we are sure to make a toast to our fellow sailors as we do our version of "Frostbiting". Frank Hagan
I would join you in gloating, but we have unseasonably cool weather here in southern California. Its dipping below freezing at night and not getting above the mid-50's during the day. Some cold winter storms are blowing through!

Andrew_Butchart
It's amazing the difference a few miles will make. Here's a comparison of work conditions vs home.
Steve Day
Konrad, Those pictures remind me of why I moved from Nebraska to LA (Lower Alabama). Thanks for reminding me. :pirate: See Ya, Steve

Steve Day
Fortunately, the precipitation is still falling as water here. We just gotta figure out how to slow it down a bit. Over 6.5" of rain here in the last three days. Ahhh, winter. Makes a guy want to build a boat or some such thing. Steve
PAR
We barely got into the low 70's here. Darn, winter sucks . . .
