agnewhewes
How do you rig a flag? I believe it should be at the top part of the gaff? Thanks in advance for advice on this.
Bud_Wilson
You got it. that is where I clip my Fleet flag,at the peak of the mast. It want get tangled up in your rigging that way. Bud.
Frank Hagan
A flag halyard can be fixed from the aft-most portion of the gaff running down to the aft end of the boom; that's how I rigged one on my Weekender. That's the traditional place ... the highest peak on the aft sail .. for a gaffer. The other alternative is to fly it from a staff on the stern of the boat (how I do it on my production boat). Bill Paxton
I didn't want more strings to pull or snag, so I added a grommet near the top of the leech and tied the flag on.
Craig
That is how my next one will be Bill. My flag haliards were always in the way and a tangle inthe cockpit. 8) 8) 8)
