kmrmike
Is the 10 oz tape used for the seams in the CS20 a +45 -45 or 0 90 type? I'm told by local suppliers this(+45-45) is not available ...at least not in fine mesh.
Charlie Jones
Yup- and order your epoxy from the same number, for the same reasons.
Jim McLaren
I know B&B can supply us with fiberglass, epoxy & wood. What else would they have available? If I ever get around to building a princess 22 I will certainly order my supplies from them.
Charlie Jones
most hardware and the sails for a couple of things
Joe Nelson CS#35
Most of you might not know this...but they have plans too!
Kidd
I hear tales of people who have also bought their plywood from them. You have to pick it up though. Living in SC it might not be too far a drive for you.
kmrmike
Thanks for the help guys.. I plan to buy the hardware and sails from B&B , but Raka is in my neighborhood which makes it convenient for glass and epoxy for the locals. Charlie Jones
B and B is cheaper than Raka, even with shipping
Greg Luckett
I just had another nice chat with Carla while checking on an order and lining up the order for my Spindrift's sails. It is down to about 5 days before the race! I wish I had the time to go to that one. It should be a lot of fun just hanging out.
kmrmike
Charlie, Iguess I should check prices once in a while. I figure I would break even buying locally ...either pay the tax or pay the shipping. Thanks for the tip. I wish B&B had an online catalog. Guest Oyster
I think Graham could do a better job on advertising, like a simple line on his website. I don't see anything that hits you in the face on his main page that says he sales anything but plans.
Steve Day
Greg, I haven't been on the forum for a while. I got from your post that you are getting ready to order sails for the Spindrift. Are you actually building yours? Steve
Greg Luckett
Yes, as soon as the weather warms up enough I will start assembly. I cut the hull panels out over a year ago. It has gotten up into the upper 30s here....even hit 40 today, which is warm enough for me to heat the shop up enough to work in it. I expect to start cutting out more of the details this week too. Steve Day
We're getting into the 70's tomorrow. I have started to refinish my Spindrift, getting ready for the Perdido Wooden Boat Show. No ice here, except in our drinks. Steve
