Bill Paxton
I never met Robb, but like many readers, felt I knew him a bit through his articles in Messing About In Boats magazine. Robb was a guy with a point of view, and his contributions will be sorely missed. Like the boats he built, he was one-of-a-kind.

GPorter
Oyster, Thanks for the posts and quote. I certainly didn't agree with every thing he said but as you say there is still a lot of common ground with anyone who builds boats or works in wood. He did good. Best to his family. lbrewer
Like many folks I had been drawn to his articles and learned a lot from his unique presentation of ideas. My codolences to the family. The news brought this to mind: Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For tho
Steve Day
While I didn't agree with him all the time, I certainly did enjoy Robb's articles and his somewhat quirky point of view. I will miss his articles in MAIB. Thanks, Oyster for posting the notice. My condolences to the family, Steve
Pipefitter
I never agreed with him or disagreed. I have known others like him. What they did or how they did it,worked for them and that was good enough. I had been reading his words as of late and it had prompted my bow skiff thread.I had read the fishermen sinking the mullet boat and it reminded me of people I had known with similar circumstances. I didn't know him beyond a thread or 2 and his own website but somehow it just seems fitting to say so long and with that in mind,I am not looking forward to saying it to anyone else here anytime soon.So y'all take care of yourselves,ya hear? and to you Robb White, RIP
