Welcome! This is the B&B Yacht Designs Forum hosted by messing-about.com.

The idea for this forum came from a fellow admirer of B&B Yacht Designs, Paul Heyse of Ultasail. Paul's had his eye on the Core Sound series, while I have bought plans for the nesting Catspaw dinghy, will probably buy plans next week for the Spindrift, and have a serious case of boat-lust for the Princess Sharpie 22'.

Graham of B&B has agreed to allow us to set up the forum and has promised, time permitting, to pop in from time to time.

messing-about.com doesn't have a lot of rules. I tried to make a list, but it was getting so long, I scrapped it in favor of our own version of the Golden Rule: Be Nice.

So with that in mind, enjoy yourself!

First of all, Thank You Frank! for this forum. It is great that our family of builders has a place to check in, to meet other builders and to share their experiences.

Builders' forums are a wonderful idea, and in our new world of e-lectronic e-xchange, a very powerful tool. Regardless of whose design you are building, the exchange of ideas benefits everyone.

We, especially, learn so much from our builders. Seeing our design efforts through their eyes helps us to improve and upgrade our designs. Knowing what the builder wants and needs is paramount. Knowing what type of boats are wanted helps us to plan our future design plans.

As Frank has said, we do plan to participate in this forum when we can be helpful. Sometimes perhaps to clarify or elucidate a technical point, or just to cheer on our builders.

Most of all, we want to thank our wonderful builders, who really are our family of friends! This YOUR forum...enjoy it. :)
