Salish 100 2026

We just finished the Salish 100 here in Puget Sound.  We sailed with about 65 boats  (all 22 feet or less) from Olympia to Port Townsend in our Core Sound 17 Mark 3.  Then we turned around and sailed back again to Olympia. It was great fun.  B and B Yacht Design was well represented, with our boat and Clementine, a Bellhaven design.

I did the Sailish 100 in a friend's Cornish Shrimper in 2022. We had very light wind and I was so wishing to have had Skeena with her big sails and water ballast removed! I do remember the amazing beauty of Puget Sound. The plan is to return when I retire!

Love seeing the B&B boats out there. I know you guys did it last year as well. I never got my act together with asking you about the trip though I still think it would make great newsletter material so if you feel like doing a trip write up I'll happily post it! I am working on our trip report for the Raid Erie event focusing on the maiden trip of our new boat of course.

Winds were light but that's typical for July in Puget Sound. I managed to fly Clementine's mizzen staysail a few times and was happy to see someone caught it on camera.  The staysail is a bit of trouble to set, but the extra 0.5 knots of boat speed is pretty special when the rest of the fleet is moving a 1.5 knots.   I hope to do the trip again next year and would encourage other B&B boats.
