Oyster Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 He passed away peacefully at home this week. Many of you may know him from the times at the Messabout meet up. He built one of the early Princess sailing craft and did a might fine job with it. He would sail it by himself and loved to anchor up and watch the world go by. Of course he loved the Water Tribe related trips and would gladly assist everyone in need. Now if you have ever met him you could possibly be talking with him for a "spell" . His work with the Winterville Fire Department was his cornerstone interest when he was not working. To say that he was a one of a kind would be putting it mildly. He never met a stranger. https://www.smithfcs.com/obituaries/Tony-Broadwaters-Day?obId=42701784#/obituaryInfo Quote
Alan Stewart Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 Damn. Tony was a great guy. He came and visited the shop not too long ago. Said he snuck away from home to come see us. I'll miss that old fart. Quote
Hirilonde Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 B&B builders are getting older, well, some of us are. I remember him from the 1st Messabout. Sat in the cockpit of his Princess chatting for a while. Seems all chats with him lasted a while, not complaining. I will remember him. Quote
