Which boat for rougher seas.

Hi Everyone,

Hoping you guys might be able to give me some direction on a kayak.

I live down in Tasmania and was looking to build a SOF just for day use in the ocean, Tasmania is often choppy and windy.

Hoping for a boat that handles well in a following sea

I am 165 pounds and prefer an LV kayak.

My other boat is a Pladtic Valley Avocet LV.

I think all the Kudzu Craft boats have more beam than your Avocet, so they might not fit your style. Take a look at yostwerks.org for a selection of skinnier boats. Also check out gentrycustomboats.com. Have fun!

Mine are aimed more at flat water and new paddlers. I don't think you would be happy with any of my designs compared to what you have.
