JohnAsa
I'm preparing to build my first SOF kayak and discovered the Kudzu forms, and purchased the book and am starting a Curlew build. Regarding Fit/Size Using the book, I drew up my frames and the coaming and was a little concerned about "fit" for me and my wife. I'm 5-9 - 36" waist. Will I fit? My wife has similar dimensions, but we are in our late '50s and I fear our fannies may spread over the next few years. Should we expect to fit okay? Our only kayak experience is with Perception brand kayaks, so I want to get some input on what to expect. (Should I build a mess-about?) Regarding Plans versus Book I read on the kudzu website that the plans for some boats have been modified with "Comfort Frames" design. Have the purchasable Curlew plans been updated with the "Comfort Frame" design? Thanks! JohnAsa
Kudzu
Good question and I had to look, but yes. They will have different shapes but both are 18"(+/-) wide. Yes, Curlew plans were the first to get the modified frame.
JohnAsa
Jeff, do you mean that the new Curlew plans include the "Comfort Frames" design?
