Don Silsbe
She’s looking fine, Mark. The boat, I mean. And I did try heaving to with blades up. It didn’t work for me.

PadrePoint
I got this from Menards fairly cheaply (don’t recall exact amount.) I needed to grind a little off the nose to make it fit some fittings. I didn’t have the handy little extension piece mentioned in the B&B video but Richard (from whim I bought Avocet) gave me the one he used in his construction. (I fashioned one that mostly worked.). If you don’t have one I could let you use it… or perhaps B&B has one to borrow. It lets you get down into the sailtrack.
Mark Rendelman
Did you get the right shoe for that price
PadrePoint
The shoes will be retired (along with a bunch of shirts) when I finish my second boat and the kitchen project of new counter tops. I stuck my foot into the picture for a bit of reference in terms of riveter size.

Dnjost
yes. that rivet tool pictured is similar to the one used for my cs17 track. you need the two handed leverage to break off those rivets.

PadrePoint
I recall that… haven’t looked but have an interest in it (CS17 Mk3 Avocet.)
Mark Rendelman
After looking at avocet video and the one on grahams carlita I chose to go with a Danforth anchor it turns out that I had one laying around from my power boat I also salvaged the bow roller and mounted it on a piece mahogany this is on center line, the anchor has about 15’ of chain also. Mark Rendelman
I just got my 30lb masthead float and just wondered if you stuffed the cavity with aluminum foil would that be enough mass to show up on radar like a reflection ball on larger sail boats
