I had no exposure to sailing until college and grad school.

I first started sailing on my friend's O'Day 15 on Torch Lake, Michigan.  When he sold his cottage I inherited the sailboat.  I really enjoyed it, but trailer-sailing even a small boat with standing rigging takes enough time that you don't sail much.  I researched quite a few boats and ended up with a Sea Pearl 21, bought from forum member Steve Warfle.

I participate in this forum because the Sea Pearl 21 and Core Sound series are very similar boats and I enjoy reading about everyone's building and sailing adventures.
