  1. Hmm - I've been hoping that someone, anyone might post a lines drawing of the P28, or at least a description of how it differs from the P26. Did I miss something? Thanks, Mike
  2. "Chinese Poplar" is probably Pawlonia, or what the Ozzies call Kiri. Very light (2x balsa density), not bad strength/density. One of the fastest-growing trees around, mostly plantation-grown. Manufacturing quality is probably the most important factor, and if Chinese, is probably suspect, at least for marine applications. Buy a sheet, chop to small pieces, inspect and boil test vigorously. A sheet I had here had a bit of a curling (potato chip) problem, but that was probably exacerbated by the extremely low humidity we get at times around here (Colorado). Wasn't 1088. Mike
  3. Scott - congratulations - you've done some awesome work! Just a curiosity question - what is that thing behind your sink pump, the circular white panel with the reddish blob in the middle? Thanks, Mike
  4. Now *that* is cool... provides vertical (if you consider the width in the picture to correspond to the height of the topsides) keying as well! Mike
  5. ...and snowmobiles. We're infested with both of them around here. (Vail, CO) Mike
  6. Tom, this is in response to an old post, but... Would it be possible to glue up the upper 2 strakes on each side, remove the screws, unfasten the frames and rotate them 45
  7. Great story, Jeff - the kind of adventure I wish I had more of with my kids! Question: noticed the trolling motor on the stern. What speeds and life do you get out of that? Mike
