  1. The B&B website doesn't seem to indicate the use of fiberglass over the entire hull for the Bay River Skiffs (I don't have the plans yet). Is it just epoxy on both sides of the ply? I'd like to hear about how well the boat fairs (lasts) without fiberglass. If Tom Lathrop is out there, I'd especially like to hear from him. His Loon seems to have been put to an awful lot of good use. Talk about inspiring stories for potential boat builders or sailers.
  2. I'd love to hear any recommendations as to power for the BRS17. Not really as an auxiliary, but primary power. Other numbers like fuel consumption and speed attained would also be appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I am trying to find a boat design that might work in a number of applications- a fishing boat that could be used under light power as well as a sailing vessel for day cruising with the family. I know this is not ideal, but there are limited funds in my future. Does anyone have any experience with this? Specifically, I am looking for numbers: engine hp used, speed attained, fuel consumption. If this isn't the boat for that plan, is there one? I just think the CS 17 is beautiful, seems economically feasible, and I really like Graham's designs. (I really like the Belhaven too, but it seems like a bigger undertaking) Looking at the Redwing series from Chesapeake Marine Design got me thinking about the possibility of using a sailboat as a displacement power boat. Thanks.
