A couple of years ago I was building an S-10 but never finished it. I have some never used stuff left that is headed to the dump in a few days that you can have for free. There are the bottom 2 finished sections of the mast, finished boom with all fittings installed, all of the bronze fittings (I think), and one full sheet of Okoume plywood. I will run this for one week and then take a trip to the dump. Just got a call from someone who lives in the next town. He'll be by in the next couple of days to pick up all the stuff. I have an uncompleted S-10 for sale. It is at the "3D" stage with the transome and bow bulkhead epoxied in place. Some of the seams are filleted. The bottom two sections of the mast are finished, and fitted together. the mast step fitting is finished and in place at the base of the mast. the boom is finished and has all its fittings in place. Some other parts are started such as the tiller and dagger board. All 6mm Okume needed to finish the boat is on hand. Too many irons in the fire, and I need to open up garage space. No reasonable offer will be refused. Pick up on site, or I might deliver if not too far. I placed this ad on "Messing About" a year ago. The project is still in the garage and I MUST get it out soon. The boom is ready to be fitted to the mast and has all its fittings mounted. The dagger board is glued up and shaping has begun. Split oars and bronze oar locks are included. Other boat stuff is also included. We are moving and the boat must "go." The boat is located in central Florida. No reasonable offer will be refused.

Following the instructions in Tom's original post, I only get info for the Southern Skimmer. I know there are many other boats in the EC. Are they not carrying a GPS? Russ

Getting it unfolded without the glassed bottom and side pieces cracking apart is sweet. Took 3 tries before I got it right, thanks to stiff temporary bracing screwed across the joints. My wife was my helper. I had tried to explain how the flat sheets of odd shaped plywood were going to Morph into a boat, but she wasn't getting it. You should have seen her face when it happened. I believe most folks would have to see it happen with their own eyes before they'd believe it. Russ

Captain Scarlett, I recently completed scarffing my 6mm for the S-10. I used the method recommended by Hirionde, it came out okay, but if I were to do it again, I would make a fixture for my Skill Saw like that in the link. http://tinyurl.com/3lk8zb Russ

Does anyone have plans for making the long reach clamps I've seen on various forum sites showing the building of Spindrifts and Core Sounds? Looks like they would be indispensable when glueing the seat stringers to the hull sides. Russ

Mark: Great job on both the boat and your cradle and dolly. Do you have any sketches or more detailed photos of the cradle and dolly? I had been wondering how to best get my S-10 in the truck without banging it up, and like your ideas. Russ Hauser Tavares, FL

Someone on this forum offered an unused set of CS 17 plans a while back, and I replied "Send them to me." Last week he sent me an email asking if I still wanted them. My computer ate the message before I was able to answer. I do still want the plans, and would the person please contact me again. Russ Hauser
