  1. Thanks John. Nice looking kayaks! Cheers, Mike
  2. Hello, I'm about to skin my first skin on frame kayak, and am weighing the options regarding poly weight and stitching methods. I have watched Jeff's videos (thank you Jeff!) and am convinced the rolled cord method is the way to go, and that it works great with 11.6oz polyester. I have also read previous posts on this forum that mention the need to be careful using the rolled cord method with 8oz polyester. On the Kudzu online store, the description of 8oz polyester mentions "I have recently found a stitch that allows you sew it on tight without the pull holes. Doing in the this way your are not depending on the heat to shrink and it will make for a tigther skin". My question is, what is this stitch, and how do we use it? Is it the rolled cord method? I'd really like to use the rolled cord method, and also like the idea of 8oz polyester not least because its higher shrink properties might help to correct for wrinkles experienced in sewing. Thanks! Cheers, Mike
