On my last visit to the VA clinic, the nice lady who takes my blood, on an all-to-regular basis, was wearing a disposable lab coat, as was nearly everyone else in the department. I mentioned one would be handy in my garage. (Old British cars that don't leak oil are empty.)
She gave me one. It is a "spun poly" kinda stuff that feels a bit like paper, but more flexible and softer.
It has knit cuffs and plastic snaps down the front.
It's really really handy any time I approach the car.
It's surprisingly durable, but can get warm. If you can find one that is breathable it would be great. Unless, of course, you're dealing with ebola.
A quick check online shows prices at just over a dollar apiece on up if one buys 30 or so.
If I were building a boat now I would buy one at a time until I found one I really like and then get a boxfull, which should last lifetime.
