  1. I am building a Arrow 14 canoe. I have the frame finished, need to install the Kevlar roving. I have the instruction manual but it's a little vague on where the roving is actually installed. I would be very grateful for some insight on doing this. thanks, Bob Bates
  2. Finally got on the water today. She floats. Also photos of float bags I made from Foodsaver bags and packing pillows.
  3. . After much head scratching and advise from others, Curlew frame finally done. thanks to all.
  4. Thanks Guys, I just wanted some assurance sine this is my first.
  5. Just started assembly of my curlew and looking at the cockpit forward it looks like the frame that you must put your feet through seems to be a little tight. It measures about 17" x 7 1/2". did I do something wrong or is it about right? Thought I would address this before moving on. thanks to all.
  6. Any thoughts on gluing instead of sewing the skin on kayaks, much like aircraft skin? thanks, Bob
  7. Thanks to all for your help. I think I finally somewhat understand. I had to also recruit my grandson to help, Isn't that what they'e here for?
  8. I received your book last week. Decided to build the Curlew, after a little work, laying out the frames went like a breeze. Then I came to the bow and stern pieces and came to a screeching halt. For the life of me I can't figure it out and I have worked with isometric drawings but this just isn't coming to me. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, Bob
