  1. Hey guys, Thanks for your replies! This finaly gives me some ideas about electric sanders and the hand sanders too. Also as I mentioned in other forums. Maybe we are getting close to some sort of flexible electric sanders! Belt sanders seems to be pretty close there, but still not large enough for large surface . Need some time to read trough all of this. Makenmend I see that you enjoyed the ride. Nothing like a moment of peace on your boat. Only thing that disturbs me, when on the boat is my cellphone. Maybe I will throw him over board , so the fish will make the calls for me..
  2. Hmm - Flexible electric sander. Are there any?

  3. Hey guys, Thanks Par for your answer. Yes, that rings the bell. I heared a lot of good things about belt sanders, but as you said you need the skill to make the surface smooth and dont make any damage in the process. I will definitely check the types of sanders you mentioned. I like the idea of the of the specialty tools you mentioned. Any professional flexible board would be nice. I dont have too much good experience with plastic boards. Some board with durasteel base would be nice. ( For filling too!) By the way - This is bit silly question. But are there any flexible sanders on the market? I mean power tools. You know something that would be able to work with large curved surface and "copy it". Thanks again :-)
  4. Hey guys, This is my first post on this forum and I already feel the load of experience here :-). Thats what greenhorn like me needs. What sanders do you use for sanding? I know its about skill too. But I am thinking about some good sanders, but still cant decide. Its for the yacht project..but still only in the phase of "only on the paper" phase. Thanks for some advice
