  1. Dave, Thanks for clearing up my confusion! I figured one of two solutions would work, either extend the slot or shorten the tab/tenon. Shortening the tenon will provide more joint strength integrity. That makes sense. I had already checked, and the dry fit of tenon "B" fit well into its adjacent frame. Thanks again! Jack
  2. Jeff, Here are 2 photos. Sorry, I should have thought about including them in the initial post I assume Tab “A” goes into Slot “C” and that Tab “B” goes into the 10” form/frame. Is this correct? If so, you can see that “A” doesn’t fit into “C”, therefore my confusion. Thanks! Jack
  3. Jeff, I'm in the middle of cutting my forms for my Castaway. Am I mistaken, or is the slot on the plans for the top of the stern shorter than it should be? The tongue on the stern does not fit the slot. Should the slot be cut longer/deeper to the curved end of the stern top so it mates properly with the back of the stern? Thanks in advance for your answer. Jack

  5. Jeff, Understood. I've built an 18' West Greenland style sof that moves and tracks very well. It's just that I've grown out of the cockpit and the knees aren't as flexible as they once were which makes ingress and egress an issue. Thanks for all the advice. Jack
  6. Jeff, Is that for both the 12' and 15'? Thanks! Jack
  7. Jeff, What is the maximum weight capacity to be carried by the 12' and 15' kayaks. I am 64 years old, about 5'11" and weigh about 240 pounds. Thanks! Jack
  8. I've searched the website and am new to the forums. Can anyone tell me if an assembly manual comes with an order for the plans? Everything I read indicates the manual comes with the kits, but I don't see anything stating that a manual comes with only the plans. Thanks! Back to top Quote MultiQuote Edit Report
