  1. Hi Peter, I live on the Gold Coast and I'm thinking of building the Coresound 17 and was wondering if it would be possible to have a look at yours sometime. If that's ok could you please email me your contact details to jackalex@safe-mail.net. Thanks. Regards, Jack.
  2. After having tried many different marine paints, the one that clearly stands out in front for me is Hempel 2 pak polly. Goes on great and is as tuff as nails.
  3. I have built 3 boats using secondary bonds only and never had any problems. The designers of these boats suggest it. Before cutting up any plywood, lay the sheets down flat and roller with epoxy. Once cured, sand then cut and build the boat. It is a lot easier than epoxy coating a boat once built. No runs on vertical surfaces and so on. I didn't do it on my Spindrift and now wish that I had. I start my next boat soon and will definately be switching back to precoating with epoxy before the build.
  4. Dale, If you look on the net there are tons of SUP plans available. Jack.
  5. Hi All, Just about finished my Spindrift 12 and was wondering about your thoughts on oar lengths. In the plans it suggests an oar length of 6 to 6.5 feet but the guy at my local boat shop said that you would probably want about 8 feet. I am now confused and after some input from people who have rowed one of these little boats. Thanks . Jack.
