Kudzu
Today I had to make a laminated coaming. That means I glue on a strip.....wait an hour....glue on a strip.....wait an hour.....glue on a strip.....wait an hour. I was answering an email about stringers and it occurred to that was one thing I had never really addressed. So between strips I worked up a video on scarfing. It is longer than I really wanted but it covers all the points. Watch it and let me know if I missed anything before I release it. I need to redo the transitions between segments, they are too fast and sudden. Video removed, final version is up. Here it is on YouTube
Abyssdncr
I dig! Not that anyone doubts you, but it might be nice to show a closeup of the finished product at the end.

toddn.robinson
Thanks Jeff both for the quick response and the video, which is VERY informative. I can't wait for my plans to get here!
Action Tiger
That scarf doesn't look very warm! You can cut, if you want, but you didn't really leave anything out, I don't think. Nice little piece.

Action Tiger
Has anyone else ever had their cats glue or paint themselves? Mine napped on my firefly stringer scarfs and glued himself to them. Little tufts of grey hair were everywhere. We also had a cat paint himself by rubbing fresh trim. After that, we called him Pepe...
