I'm starting a Vardo and was wondering if you have tried the cypress yet? Looking at some wood properties tables, it looks like it will be about 40% heavier than WRC and a little harder to bend. But the cypress will also be stronger, and I guess you could maybe make the stringers a little smaller (thinner and/or narrower), though I guess you'd have to change the frames then. Kudzu Posted October 14, 2016 Author Report Share Posted October 14, 2016 I was thinking about ordering a small amount and cutting some in stringer sizes and trying it. I have built taper columns and trim for out house but never bent any. I don't have any long scrap in the shop at the moment.
