Knee braces

Just an idea for securing braces to the inside of the cockpit ring....Using 1x1 aluminum angle. ....The angle would be attached prior to sewing, just go right over it....The 1/2"BB braces would be screwed to the aluminum and then cover with a stiff foam.....

Nice idea; quick, simple, and easy to retrofit to an existing coaming.

 

Have a question, not regarding the braces though. Noticed on your flickr page that you'd built a SOF with an internal skeg. How did you seal/glue the skin around the skeg opening?

I sealed it with epoxy resin.....http://messing-about.com/forums/topic/8747-retractable-skeg/
