All told I have about $250 in the boat with enough spare material to almost build another. Thanks to Jeff from Kuduz craft for making this adventure available for free. Action Tiger
Good gravy, what a place to paddle a boat! Nice job building her, too. Have one, love it.
ndenahan
Thanks Action Tiger. I believe I read some of your post while trying to decide what boat to build for Aden. We in north central Florida have an embarrassment of beautiful first magnitude springs. The spring head in just off to the left of the photo and if flows about 6.9 million gallons daily. To the right is about a quarter mile spring run that meets up with the dark brown tannin stain Santa Fe River. It is pretty neat to see the two flows come together. We hope to head out to the Ichetucknee River next, it is also a spring fed crystal clear beauty. The only problem is now the rest of us all want a kayak to paddle the rivers with Aden. Action Tiger
I have spent just enough time kicking around down there in that quadrant of the country to know I'd love to spend more. Those clear springs are something else, though, boy. I've never seen the like in person. Marvelous. Now, the mixing of waters, I have seen, but not, mind you, with clear spring water. As for the rest of the bunch wanting kayaks, I'll bet you know a guy could toss a few together right quick...
Kudzu
Glad you like the boat. Now take some of that money you saved and buy him a GOOD comfortable kayaking life jacket and make sure he wears it ALL THE TIME while paddling.
