Ejmyr3
I have a storage limitation. Can the OAL of Curlew or Ravenswood be reduced by 5% without losing overall performance? The length would be shortened but not the beam. I live in the Midwest and paddle on lakes and rivers, and occasionally Lake Michigan. Also, I see that you authored two books. Is the second book a continuation of the first? Will I miss information if I only purchase to the most resent addition? I am excited to being building a new boat and appreciate any help. Kudzu
Despite reading about this in all the different forums I do not recommend it because it not a good idea. You would be better off designing from scratch. Boats do not simply scale up or down. Moving the frame locations will alter the shape of the boat and it will not longer be fair. It also affects stability as well as performance. If someone changes the design they are not building my boat so I don't offer any support to modified boats. Ejmyr3
Ok, your point is reasonable. Does your second book cover the entire building process? Thanks again for your help. Ed
