FLOAT BAGS ARE AVAILABLE!

Kudzu

Recommended Posts

Finally! It has taken way longer than I ever expected but I finally have float bags for sale. I am not stocking any at the moment. I will just make them as ordered so it will take a couple of days for them to ship. As I see which ones sell I will probably make a couple of sets and put those on the shelf.

If you need a size I don't list, like for a none Kudzu Craft boat I will make a custom sized set. I am working on a web page where you will be able to plug in the numbers and get a quote online.

I think I have all of my boats listed in the store and templates made. Those cost from 70-80 dollars, depending on the boat.

I ran into a problem with the fabric, turns out some of it wasn't air tight. Some bags worked perfect and others would leak for no apparent reasons. That is till I found out the fabric was leaking slightly.

I  just got a sample of another fabric in today that is air tight. Just have to test it with my heat sealer. If it is works I will be making bags in a week or so.

What a battle this has been! Everything thing I have tested and decided to use has failed me.  But I think I have the last gremlin out of the shop!

The latest battle has been the filler tube fittings. The have been the one thing that has not failed me .... but then I had two fail once I started building bags.  After a lot of research I finally discovered the problem and decided too try some samples I ordered but didn't like the way they looked. Turns out there are so much better, just sort of ugly looking.

But I finally have a product I will put my name on! Should be able to start shipping these now.

No, just haven't done it yet. Keep squeaking that wheel.  ;)

I would do it Monday, but I am trying to get boats ready for the upcoming Expo. But I will put that on the Chalk Board right now. As many plans as have been downloaded there should be  few around.

PS. While a pulley is not a bad idea. Your can put them in without one without to much effort. I just an left over string, fold a couple of inches of the end over a deflated bag, fold the bag over the stick length wise and slide it in. Might have to do it twice but it works. No cords inside to entrap you.
