Scott Dufour
Oh, boy, CRL. Now you've done it. Perhaps we could take that up on another thread to keep this one from becoming swamped with the Tastes Great / Less Filling debate.
Chick Ludwig
I do pre-coat plywood before painting or varnishing. I see no need for peel ply here.
PAR
Taped seam boats can be done without encapsulation, but it's generally not recommended on plywood. The idea is to seal all surfaces and you don't need peelply for this, though it can help with coats, subsequent to the initial sealing coat. If the sealing coat is applied without any pooling epoxy, left on the surface, you'll eliminate the outgas potential and peelply isn't helpful. Additional coats will leave pools of epoxy on the surface, so peelply is helpful.

CRL
Any chance Graham will be attending &/or displaying a CS20 mk3 at the Port Aransas (TX) Ply-Wooden boat show in October?
Designer
Unfortunately, we will not be at Port Aransas,it clashes with our Messabout.

Jknight611
CRL, if you make it through south Mississippi our CS20.3 is 87.4% complete. We would be happy to show you around. We will be going to the Messabout in October at B&B with the boat. We do plan on sailing the Texas coast this winter.
