Oyster
While I don't do facebook, when I click on the thread, I get a pop up that also shuts down my computer with a flag stating invasion of the computer, or something like that. Frank Hagan
Maybe because you don't use Facebook? Or maybe my "or DIE" wording is triggering something? I just tried it from several different browsers and it seems to work OK. Anyone else see this?
PAR
I also had no trouble with it (the link). It sounds like you've got an infection Oyster.
Oyster
I cannot click on and read either one of the threads posted on this topic without the flag popping up when I am not logged in and shutting down the forum link.. I can open up every other one without a problem though. When I log in I can open this one and post a reply without a problem. The other one will open but I cannot click on the link though. I must have a sensitive virus protection program, just loaded it in the past month from Kyspersky. This is the second version after the first one worked out better than any other one to date. It does not slow the computer down either, but kicks out every single Hotmail and yahoo e-mails and even blocks all photos from all sites unless I allow each mail to show the pictures that I get updates from like Jamestown. Frank Hagan
Let me change the topic heading, and we'll see if it is reacting to the word "DIE", or if its the link to Facebook it doesn't like.
Oyster
That's the strangest thing that has happened here. I can click on the baby cradle tender thread and all others and no problems. But the original one with the facebook link and this one sends my computer in alert mode when I am not logged into the forum software. When I log in and open these two threads I still have no problems unless I attempt to log in to the facebook link. Oh well, moving right along, as I know very little past pushing the on and off button on the computer or telling that little mouse which way to go after the computer is on. That is strange, although who knows with Facebook? There's a sidebar block named "messing-about Facebook Feed" that is a Facebook App, and these posts were added after that app was put in place. Let me add a new post, and see if the same thing happens. It may be that Facebook is doing something through its app (would not surprise me at all). Frank Hagan
OK, I deleted that message and added a new one with a Facebook link. See if you can open that one without any problems. It is at http://messing-about.com/forums/topic/8749-like-us-on-facebook/ It has much the same content, but does not have "topic tags" added.
