Has anyone tried a spectra skin, maybe over carbon tubes as the frame? I've just done some calculations, for a buddy that's interested in a super light SOF, with near zero stability kayak and the prospect with this method, suggests unbelievably light.
I didn't want to side track the existing thread but Spectra caught my eye, so I wanted to start a new one. I have not more than just heard of Spectra fishing line. Reading it looks like it is not easy to find. But what concerns me is that is made from HDPE? If so how the heck would you coat it? Nothing would stick to it.
Always interested in new products so I would love to know more.
