Wondering...

While looking at the amount of rocker....is the dimension for stern frame only 5/16'' diff. than the frame behind the cockpit? curlew has has about 1 1/4'' rocker behind the cockpit to the stern....

The "A" dimension on the frame brackets...The frame at the 1' location and the frame at the 6'5'' location...shows their is only 5/16'' of rocker toward the stern....

You caught a mistake. It it 1" to low.

I have yet to hear from anyone that has built a Poco Barta so that may be why no one has caught that. I think it would ne great boat but everyone builds the Curlew.

I am in the process of making some revisions to the book. I am going to add Metric Charts to it so this was good timing. I am incorporating that change in there now.

I am thinking of building a Poco Barta. Which numbers need to be corrected?

Jeff did you already correct it in the book I have? I'm seeing a differance of 15/16ths.
1 7/16, 10/16, 4/16 and 2/16.

Bear , I think he is referring to his new book....in the first book page 59 refers to the frame brackets, which hold the frames secure to the strong back....the A dimension on frame 1'0'' is off..it should read 5 7/16'' .....look at the frame offsets.... and the first row of 'Z' dimensions has to do with the keel.... and the amount of rocker shows up their

I have the new dimensions in the book now. I just made some revisions and add metric charts. If you have it, you have the correct numbers. If you have the earlier one (very likely) I have to post the corrections on my web site. I forgot to do that so this is my reminder.

Yes but not in a format I can publish. It is very similar to Curlew, slightly higher resistance under 4.5-5 mph and little better above that.
