jack327
Jeff, What is the maximum weight capacity to be carried by the 12' and 15' kayaks. I am 64 years old, about 5'11" and weigh about 240 pounds. Thanks! Jack
Kudzu
I am not sure the max. but probably around 300 lbs. 240 will should be no problem.
jack327
Jeff, Is that for both the 12' and 15'? Thanks! Jack
Kudzu
Yes. I emailed you this but I will post in here too. Even so, look at the longer one. Short and wide boats are not great paddling boats. Because of their shape they are slow boats requiring more effort to paddle at decent speed. 15' is (generally speaking) the sweet spot of most recreational kayaks. I hate short boats but people want them so I gave in and offered one. You would be much better off with the longer version of this boat. jack327
Jeff, Understood. I've built an 18' West Greenland style sof that moves and tracks very well. It's just that I've grown out of the cockpit and the knees aren't as flexible as they once were which makes ingress and egress an issue. Thanks for all the advice.
