brigait1
Hi all, I'm making some progress on Goodfoot, my Core Sound 20. Here are a few pics of work on the coaming and priming the cockpit. Here is my bending jig to get the coamings bent for the aft end of the cockpit. There are more pics at the blog, linked below. Cheers, Pete
Charlie Jones
Looking good Pete. And that Pear wood is some HARD stuff. I used some taken down by Hurricane Rita, to make some mallets for chiseling. SOLID Mallets.
brigait1
Man, you are not lying Charlie. Fortunately I have a brand new blade on the table saw. Still got a few burn marks on the stuff though. Gotta learn to feed it a bit more slowly. So what's the new boat you mentioned in your other post? I've haven't been on line much lately so I'm a bit out of the loop.
Charlie Jones
Bought my previous sailboat back. Necessity, a Lindsey 21 on a trailer. Originally got her in 1982,, did a complete interior rebuild, sailed her til I got Tehani, sold her to pay for Tehani rebuild and outfitting, now she's mine again. brigait1
Pretty boat! Nice mallets too. Looking forward to a trip down there to see them in person and spend a little time catching up. Pete
Charlie Jones
Well, brought'nyo'self on down Bring a chunk of that wood and we'll slap it in the lathe, and you too can have a mallet. And get her ready to sail and maybe we can work up a small cruise to Army Hole this fall.
rattus
Bought my previous sailboat back. Necessity, a Lindsey 21 on a trailer. A picture of her under sail, and one of the pear wood mallets ...and the mallets were for the "encouragement" of recalcitrant crew? ;-) Mike
