fiberglassing over plywood

I need to make a storage box to go on the roof of my hardtop to hold PFDs, Life Raft, Epirb

Was tinking of using 1/4" Plywwod and sandwich foam betwwen two layers and covering with the white fiberglass 4x8 sheets that Home depot sells.

Any hints?

Are you talking about the smooth one side pebble finish the other side FRP panels used for wall covering? If so, I think your project will become much more work than you bargained for and you may end up with something that delaminates not too far down the road.
