Paul J
Looks like they are going to try to race today, maybe. The weather forecast is not good. There is the possibility of gale force winds, so says the race committee. But the marine forecast for the area says more light airs with gale force winds tomorrow. So who knows. Talking about the weather may end up being all we get to talk about as to the America's Cup.

buck
We're going to keep putting it off, till the Swiss get bored and pack up and go home and we get to keep the cup. Well I think thats the plan!
Paul J
I hope you have a backup plan for that plan.
P Doug (WA)
That sounds like a french tactician type plan. I sure hope they go today. I miss it!
MikeStevenson
I was glad when th eboats settled on a formula closer to the original, but I can't understand the shifting course and narrow wind speed tolerance this new set up uses. To my mind it's media-sailing, designed to maximise the sponsor's payback. I think we should go back to the very open rules of the original Cup formula and run in real-life weather. I wonder whether the Swiss will change the rule to Lake -Garda-type boats? That'd be fun to watch. Mike
Islands
Just a thought on and when the Swiss win, I think they should use a weekender for the offical race boat, it would be less expencive, have to be built by the skipper, and that way we all could compete Islands ( I think too much)
Sailor3356
I think Islands right. Make em sail Weekenders. The money they spend for the press and the fact that only the rich can play doesn't make it a cup for the people. Maybe they should call it The Rich Worlds Cup? lol Then come and sail my little lake.
