capt jake
Oyster sent a message to say hi. He sent it via and old bottle, it took a while to make it around to the left side of the continent, so he must be further from land than is showing here. Looks to me like he is working way to hard. It appears as though he is sleeping.

umop_apisdn
What kind of rig is that? I've never seen a sail layout like that before. Noel
jimw
I'm very curious what his procedure is for reefing the main ??
Charlie Jones
It's a Spritsail sloop. The main reefs just like any other. You lower the halyard, lower the snotter (which is where the lower end of the sprit is attached), take in the reef points, set up the halyard, then the snotter. You DO have to move the main sheet attachment up to the reef leach grommet.
umop_apisdn
Aaah.... I see that now. duh. :-) For some reason when I first looked at that pic, I thought the area between the peaks of the sails was empty, making it look like it had two headsails and no mainsail. But I see now there is no coastline in that spot. :-) Time to turn the resolution on my monitor down a bit I think. heh heh heh Noel
Tar Devil
The sails threw me... also 'cause of the color. Mike said they are new. Phil
